SKILKEN GOLD CLOSES ON LAND PURCHASE AT COUGHLIN’S CROSSING FOR SHEETZ’S SECOND LOCATION IN DELAWARE

August 24, 2020

Skilken Gold announced today the purchase of a 1.88-acre site from Delaware Development Plan Ltd., the master developer of Coughlin’s Crossing, a 77-acre mixed used development, located along U.S. Route 23 , between Stratford Road and the newly-constructed Penny Way.  This site will be home to Sheetz’s second location in Delaware.

The approximately 6,000-square-foot Sheetz, situated just south of Penny Way and next to the Blue Sky Car Wash, will offer the convenience store’s nationally acclaimed Made-to-Order (M-T-O®) and MADE-TO-GO® menu selections, indoor retail and dining space, an outdoor patio, an espresso bar, a touchpad-based drive-thru and four fueling stations with eight gas pumps.

“This is a terrific site for Sheetz, as it expands into Delaware and across Central Ohio,” said Isaac Gold, Skilken Gold’s Vice President of Real Estate. “The location will offer the community a convenient one-stop destination, where they can eat, shop and fuel up their cars.”

Coughlin’s Crossing will feature a mix of shops, restaurants and homes, creating a fresh new entrance to the city’s south side. The master development company, backed by auto dealership executives Al and Mike Coughlin and other family members, also recently received approval for a 16,000-square-foot, multi-tenant building and two 19,000-square-foot commercial buildings, both south of Route 23.

“This is an exciting mixed-use project in Delaware, and we’re thrilled that Sheetz will be a part of it,” Gold said.

Gold anticipates that construction on the Sheetz store will begin in the coming months.

Skilken Gold is the exclusive real estate developer for the restaurant and convenient store’s aggressive rollout in Central Ohio. The company is also developing Sheetz locations in Northeast Ohio and in Pennsylvania.
