The nationally acclaimed restaurant and kicked-up convenient-store chain is coming to Central Ohio, and the company has selected Skilken Gold as the territory’s exclusive real estate developer.
Although the number and locations of those stores have not yet been disclosed, Skilken Gold is already busy at work for the Claysburg, Pennsylvania-based brand, having placed several sites under contract and locating and verifying others. Sheetz anticipates that it will start serving customers in the Columbus area in spring 2021.
Sheetz announced Its entry into the Central Ohio market in a Facebook post on November 30, 2019. The post has had more than 1.4 million likes.
“The overwhelming enthusiasm is a testament to the strength of this brand. People love Sheetz, and Skilken Gold is thrilled to be a part of the its growth in Ohio,” said Isaac Gold, Skilken Gold’s Senior Director of Real Estate.
A state-of-the-art category leader, Sheetz prides itself on its award-winning, made-to-order food, specialty coffees and drinks, craft beers and more. “Sheetz is all about quality, convenience, committed community partnerships and environmental stewardship,” said Ken Gold, Skilken Gold’s CEO. “The company is truly a national innovator, and Columbus is in for a treat.”
