SHEETZ JOINS FACEBOOK, AMAZON WEB SERVICES, DISCOVER FINANCIAL SERVICES, BATH AND BODY WORKS AND OTHERS AT NEW ALBANY INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PARK

October 1, 2020

Skilken Gold announced today the purchase of a site from The New Albany Company for a new Sheetz restaurant and convenience store in the New Albany International Business Park. The 2.91-acre site is situated at the Northeast Corner of Johnstown Road and Walton Parkway, west of the Abercrombie & Fitch headquarters building and east of Route 161.

“This is very well positioned site for Sheetz to serve the New Albany market and the location’s large amount of traffic and daytime population,” said Isaac Gold, Vice President of Real Estate for Skilken Gold, Sheetz’s exclusive real estate developer in Central Ohio. “ The New Albany International Business Park is one of the largest master-planned business parks in the country and one of the fastest growing in the Midwest.

Over 10 million square feet have been fully developed at the more than 4,000-acre New Albany International Business Park, which is home to Discover Financial Services, Amazon Web Services, Facebook, Bath and Body Works, Abercrombie and Fitch and many other major companies.

In addition, multiple hotels, grocery stores, restaurants, convenience and specialty retailers are located within the Business Park to serve the daily needs of its companies and their employees.

“Sheetz is a perfect fit for the Business Park. Not only is it a kicked-up convenience store, but it’s an award-winning restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and an extensive menu of freshly prepared food, all designed by a team of classically trained chefs and prepared in full kitchens on site,” Gold said.

Food is one of the primary ways that Sheetz has differentiated itself as a category leader in the market. Named 2020 Best Regional Fast Food Chain by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice travel awards, Sheetz’s Made-to-Order (MTO®) menu includes appetizers, burgers, bratwursts, subs, wraps, salads, pizza, along with its new Beyond Burger®, a 100% plant-based, protein-packed meat alternative that’s customizable with more than 47 options. An Espresso Bar features hand-made specialty coffees, created on Italian espresso machines. A “Shweetz” Bakery offers cookies, donuts and muffins. Breakfast is available 24/7.

“Sheetz is really a convenient store unlike anything Columbus has even seen. We’re thrilled that New Albany is part of its Central Ohio growth plan.,“ Gold said
